The 2013 NFL season finally kicks off on Sunday night, even if it is just a preseason game. In a time where coaches, players, and fans are calling for less preseason games, both the Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins are set to play the first of five exhibition games.  Let's take a closer look to see if there's any value to be had.

Dallas Cowboys vs Miami Dolphins: UNDER 33

Market Watch

The Cowboys opened as -1.5 point favorites for this game and early action pushed it up to -2.5, but the roster news has flipped the script and we now see the Dolphins as -3 point favorites.  That's how fast things can change in the preseason. The total opened at 34.5, but has come down to 33. 55% of the public like the Dolphins to come out on top and cover the spread.

Bottom Line

Given the cautious approach Garrett is taking with his stars, the no-brainer pick is to ride the Dolphins. However, Joe Philbin has not given us any indication that he cares about winning NFLX games either. I think it's a bit premature to jump on Miami until we see them in action. This game has "under" written all over it, in what should be a sloppy and low-scoring game.
NFL Pick: Under 33.
