First up is some house cleaning. My overall records have been updated as I prepare to make the transition for the new season. I don't expect to have a cosmetic overhaul to the site like I did last year, but there are definitely some changes on the way.
- Live-odds menu
- Expanded Sportsbooks partnerships/reviews/recommendations
- Improved betting resource toolbox (tools, stats, books, podcasts)
- Heavy emphasis on Money Management including introduction/tutorial
- More info! (ongoing links to news, articles, sharp/square insights, line movement etc)
- Twitter guide (who to follow and why)
- Fan & guest handicapper picks of the week!
The whole point of this blog is to share insights and information so we can beat the books together. Rather than simply providing my own picks and analysis, I want to help empower each of you with as much information/resources as possible to enhance your own decision-making. If you don't have the time or energy to be that pro-active ... I'll still continue to pack as much info into my posts as possible for you to consider.
But I really want to hit home the idea of money management this upcoming season. It won't matter how good the picks are if we aren't being smart with our bankroll. Understanding line movement and value is still paramount, but nothing matters more than proper money management.
Also the current landscape is changing in the sportsbook community...especially for US customers and the offshore market. I want people to know what their best options are and why. This will involve more than shameless advertising (which I try to keep to a bare minimum). I currently write articles for Sportsbook Review which is the current gold standard for sportsbook monitoring. Using trusted and advantageous books is essential.
In my FAQ section I'll try to cover as many bases as possible for new and experienced bettors alike. I can't possibly capture the entire industry within this blog, but I will get you pointed in the right direction.
Lastly, there should be some additional voices this upcoming year. If any of you want to share your own perspective on a pick with your own analysis hit up the contact button and I'll try to feature it on the site...especially if it's for a game I didn't cover or a pick you disagree with. There could also be some guest handicappers making an appearance, but I haven't made any final decisions on that front just yet.
Most of these changes should be ironed out over the next month or two...so keep an eye out for updates. The new season is just around the corner!
